WELCOME<\/p>\n\n\n\n

to the Beaver Scouts Section. For youth 5 to 7 years of age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are looking for youth (14-17) and adult (18+) volunteers for our Beaver Colony. For more information on becoming a Scouter, please go to Scouts Canada\u2019s website:  www.scouts.ca\/ca\/volunteer<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our Beaver Scout Colony is very active.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beaver Scouts opens the door for your child to discover the world. It is filled with a little bit of everything \u2013 outdoor activities, games, music and sports. Along the way, Beaver Scouts meet new friends, learn cooperation and teamwork and develop self-confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beaver Scouts are welcomed into a group of energetic boys and girls just like them. They will meet with kind and caring leaders that will help them with anything they need to know about being a good Scout. They will feel respected and appreciated for their own uniqueness and encouraged to bring all they can to their group and activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beavers can work towards receiving Personal Achievement Badges<\/a> (PAB) using the Beaver Scouts Plan-Do-Review PAB template<\/a>. These badges are designed to allow youth to explore and expand skills and knowledge in areas that are of particular interest to them.  For more information, checkout the Guide to Beaver Scout Personal Achievement Badges<\/a> and for Guide to Personal Achievement Badges for Parents<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meetings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tuesdays, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. from mid-September till mid-May @ Chelsea elementary school<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We try to have as many <\/strong>meetings<\/strong> outside as possible.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

When inside, we are permitted to use the the Gym. Please enter school through front door. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many outings, so meetings may change location. Please check with Scouters for updates to the weekly program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note to Parents<\/strong>
Please ensure there is a minimum of two Adult Scouters (volunteers) present, and we have Leader\/Youth ratio before leaving the premises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scouters try to be at the school for 6:20 p.m. The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. All parents\/guardians must sign their child in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting finishes at 7:30 p.m. All parents\/guardians must sign their child out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
